Building confidence, soccer skills and a community of friendship through soccer

Who this program is for

This program is for players who are ready to build core soccer skills in a playful, energetic environment that supports confidence and learning. This program is a great next step after U4-U6 or for players new to the sport. It is specifically designed to empower young girls at this stage of development by creating an environment that emphasizes skill development, enjoyment, and connection, helping players feel comfortable, engaged, and motivated to keep playing.

The Player Experience:

The program helps players develop their movement ABCs — agility, balance, coordination, and speed — while learning the basics of soccer through fun, game-based activities. Players build skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control, and introductory team play, with a strong emphasis on cooperation.

The program includes two weekly sessions: Station Sessions, focused on skill development through rotating activities and small-sided games, and Game Day Sessions, where players play games with minimal coaching to encourage creativity and independence.

In addition, the program includes a weekly optional team-building activity, offered before or after the soccer session. Research shows that girls at this stage are more likely to remain in sport when programs intentionally support team connection alongside skill development. These activities support social bonding, physical literacy, movement skills, and team connection, and are designed to complement on-field soccer development.

  • Two 50- minute sessions per week held inside in the Dome (Winter) or outside at Julian de Guzman Park (Spring) and the Hornets Nest (Spring/(Summer).
