Building advanced skills, tactical awareness, and competitive confidence

Who this program is for:

The U14–U18 program is designed for players who want to continue developing their soccer skills in a competitive team environment as the game transitions to full-field play. This program is a natural progression from U10–U13 for players who enjoy training regularly, competing, and being challenged while staying connected to the sport.

At this stage, players are refining their technical ability, building tactical awareness, and developing the discipline and mental resilience needed to perform in more demanding game environments.

The Player Experience:

The U14–U18 years focus on honing skills under a variety of competitive conditions in an 11v11 game format that mirrors adult play. Players are encouraged to take increasing ownership of their development while continuing to learn through training and match play.

Players will:

  • Refine advanced technical skills, including passing, shooting, ball control, and position-specific techniques
  • Develop tactical understanding related to team shape, game management, and decision-making
  • Build discipline, mental toughness, and confidence in competitive situations
  • Learn to prepare for training and games, including goal setting and coping with both success and challenge
  • Strengthen teamwork, communication, and leadership on and off the field

Training remains aligned with Long-Term Player Development principles, balancing challenge, growth, and enjoyment of the game.

Assessments:

All U14–U21 players are required to participate in assessments. Assessments support balanced team formation and appropriate competitive environments.
